Sure, spending time at your grandparents’ house for Easter – dining on all your favorite holiday meals and hanging out with the family – is nice, but why not step it up a notch this year? Hop into spring with some awesome activities by taking the youngsters to Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo April 19-20, 2019.
The beloved Royal Oak zoo is the perfect place for you and your family to create memories and even create a new Easter weekend tradition.
This event offers a golden egg hunt, where your little ones can win some really neat prizes. Just keep an eye out for those shiny eggs; there are more than 100 hidden throughout the zoo on each day.
If that’s not enough to keep your little hoppers fully occupied, take them to see The Amazing Clark magic show or strolling puppet performances by Mullin Entertainment.
While at this eggstravagent Easter event, make sure your tots get their official Bunnyville face paint over at the whisker-painting station. And don’t forget to take kids for a photo with the Easter Bunny – you can purchase the photos as a keepsake from your trip to one of the coolest zoos in Michigan.
Throughout the event, also keep an eye out for treats, games, crafts, zookeeper talks and more fun for the entire family.
The festive fun runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on both days, and it’s all free with your general admission to the Detroit Zoo, which runs $18 for ages 19-plus, $15 for ages 2-18 and seniors age 62-plus and free for kids under 2.
If you bring a canned or non-perishable food item, you will receive a reduced admission price. Either way, parking is $8 per vehicle.
Want to join in the springtime fun? Make it a point to visit the 2019 Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak and don’t forget to check the Metro Parent calendar for even more family fun things to do this weekend.
