Are you looking for some good old-fashioned outdoor festival fun? Bring your family to the downriver area Aug. 2-3, 2019 to celebrate local art, music and community at the 38th annual Allen Park Street Fair.
This fest, which is themed “Coming Home” in 2019, showcases what the city of Allen Park and surrounding area have to offer – complete with activities to keep your kiddos entertained.
If you’re interested in taking kids to concerts, stop by on Friday or Saturday for musical performances by artists large and small. Included in the lineup are bands like Phoenix Theory, Category 5, Downriver Dan and many others.
You’ll also find a wide variety of vendors selling their creative and delicious wares both days. Wander and explore the booths dotting Roosevelt, Southfield, Park and Allen roads to check out handmade jewelry, ceramics, natural products, artwork and freshly made food.
And don’t forget to swing by the popular kids zone. It’s set up between Philomene and White streets, and it’s a family must featuring crafts, booths and inflatables geared specifically towards children that small fries are sure to enjoy.
The Allen Park Street Fair is held the first weekend in August, Aug. 2-3, 2019, throughout downtown Allen Park. The fair is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily, admission is free and a free shuttle from the Allen Park Knights of Columbus is available to shuttle you to the fair if you park off-site.
