Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor Golf Courses for Families and Kids

If you're curious where the metro Detroit and Ann Arbor golf courses are, our 2018 guide for Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties can help.

Perfecting your swing stimulates mind and body. Golf is a unique individual sport that requires precision and personalized learning curves – and there are plenty of metro Detroit and Ann Arbor golf courses where you and your kids can up your game, from 18- and nine-hole courses to fat fairways and bothersome bunkers.

A few important notes: Facilities are open weather permitting – typically April-November, but call ahead. While all courses have public hours, all courses recommend golfers sign up for tee times or call ahead for availability. Family-friendly amenities include on-site eateries, glow-ball golf tournaments, indoor golf simulators, clinics and lessons for beginners and even seasoned golfers, and chances to play the quickly popularizing sport footgolf.

No matter the age or skill level, opportunities abound. So, shoot for the green and watch that ball take flight!
