Is your family the type that is comfortable lounging around binging Netflix? Why not shake up your families routine with a little outdoor fun at the Huron River Day Festival, which is celebrating its 37th year on Sunday, July 9, 2017.
This fest will not only get your family off of their electronic devices and outside in nature but will also get them excited about it through all kinds of outdoor activities like canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding on the river; plus river-themed exhibits and kids’ activities that aim to teach kids of all ages about the river and its surrounding ecosystems.
There will also be totally rad aviary circus performances, live musical performances by Steve Somers and Friends, Hullabaloo and Kaye Hoff and Rosewood, and delicious food from local eateries like Shimmy Shack, EJs Gourmet Street Cuisine and others.
Metro Parent will even be there giving away totally cool swag. Stop by our booth and use the secret phrase “Rollin’ on the River” to claim your prize. Do it early though because prizes are only awarded to the first ten people the say it.
Huron River Day Festival happens on Sunday, July 9 from noon-4 p.m at Gallup Park in Ann Arbor. Admission is free but a $5 fee does apply for canoe and kayak rentals.
