Make your mother, stepmother, aunt, grandmother or other mother-figure feel special this Mother’s Day.

Macomb, Oakland, Wayne and Washtenaw counties are full of Mother’s Day events that are sure to fit any mom’s taste. Some of the events fall on Mother’s Day, which is May 14, 2023, others happen before or after the big day. Also, some require registration, so be sure to check in advance.



May 14, 2023

Families can enjoy a spring hike on the trails with mom or grandma and take time with the wildflowers that are starting to bloom. Choose the nature trail of your choice to enjoy and be sure to stop by the nature center to get a certificate. All moms and grandmothers receive a flower to plant a home. Pre-registration is not required.


Mother’s Day Brunch

Join The Community House for Mothers Day Brunch in the elegant Wallace Ballroom. Each mother will receive a complimentary rose and pitcher of mimosas. Seats are limited. Reservations required.

Mother’s Day Hike: Warblers & Wildflowers

Visit Indian Springs Metropark for a special hike along their nature trails and learn about the wildlife along the way in honor of Mother’s Day. Bring binoculars. Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. May 13.
