Motor City Comic Con at the Suburban Collection Showplace Novi

Motor City Comic Con is one of metro Detroit's premier events for kids and parents. Head to this convention, featuring comic book creators, actors and more May 17-19, 2019.

Into pop culture? Love comic books? Motor City Comic Con, which runs May 17-19, 2019 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, has it all – and it’s a family-friendly metro Detroit event you won’t want to miss!

This three-day event is packed with exhibitors, special guests (including comic book writers, creators and artists, actors from TV and movies) – and more!

A big draw at this event will be the media and comic stars. Among the big names expected are Alan Davis, Erica Schultz, Jason Reeves, Alanna Masterson, George Takei, Tom Payne and many, many others.

Event times are as follows:

  • Friday: 12:30-7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Doors are open a half-hour earlier for those with advance tickets. Check the website for specific appearance dates and details for this year’s special guests.

Ticket prices for kids ages 6-12 are $20/three-day pass, $10/one-day pass (Friday or Saturday only) and free for kids 5 and under (with paid adult).

Pricing for teens and adults ages 13-plus: $80/three-day pass, $30/Friday only, $40/Saturday only and $30/Sunday only. Parking ranges $5-$10 depending on where you park.
