Wyandotte is a beautiful downriver town located right along the Detroit River. With a booming restaurant and small business scene, gorgeous views of the water, a thriving arts community and small-town charm, Wyandotte is the perfect place for families to explore.

Camino Real Mexican Grill

Authentic Mexican food at an affordable price, Camino Real Mexican Grill is a longstanding favorite. After opening their first location in southwest Detroit in 2008, Camino Real opened their second location in Wyandotte in 2014, and they’ve since become a go-to restaurant.


For a scenic fine dining experience, check out Portofino. Located right on the Detroit River, Portofino offers beautiful views of the water as you enjoy your meal. In the summer, you can sit at their outdoor patio or you can even experience your dinner on-board their cruise ship while you tour the Detroit River!

Joe’s Hamburgers

Known for delicious sliders, Joe’s Hamburgers is a casual restaurant with an extensive menu, so even your picky eaters will find something to eat. They also have an array of classic arcade games to entertain the whole family.

Sushi Bar

Located in downtown Wyandotte, Sushi Bar lives up to its slogan “Fresh is Healthy!” With a large sushi and Japanese cuisine menu, Sushi Bar offers delectable food with a beautiful atmosphere.

A hub for art and culture, the Downriver Council for the Arts serves the entire Downriver community. DCA houses two art galleries and a gift shop, along with offering a range of community programs and activities to promote the arts.

Pottery Creations is a unique studio that offers walk-ins for all ages. It also hosts events like birthday parties and family nights. If you want a taste of creativity at home, you can pick up one of the To-Go kits and create pottery from the comforts of home.

If you’re a kayaking expert or just beginning, Riverside Kayak Connection is the place for you. Not only do they sell and rent kayaks and related gear, but they offer classes and guided tours. Stop by in the warmer months if you’re looking to get out on the water.
