After a single, fateful fall down a winding rabbit hole, a little girl named Alice found herself in a fantastical world unlike any she could have ever imagined. Care to join her? The Marquis Theatre in Northville presents Alice in Wonderland, March 4-May 7, 2017.
As the world grows curiouser and curiouser, this stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s story offers up an extraordinary exit from normalcy.
There’s a reason this well-known tale has been loved by audiences since its inception. Wonderland is a bit illogical. Everything is topsy turvy, but things don’t have to make sense, because we’re all mad here.
Follow along as Alice meets a number of crazy characters. From the Cheshire Cat with his glowing grin and the Mad Hatter who’s the life of every tea party to the Queen of Hearts – watch your head.
It’ll be a bit of a raucous at this local rendition, and patrons should expect to get on their feet to sing and dance along.
Parents, let the box office know before the show if you’ll be attending a performance within a week of your child’s birthday. They will receive a gift from the Marquis Theatre and a special “Happy Birthday” sung to them.
And for everyone else, Wonderland still wishes a very, merry un-birthday to you. Do you hear the faint ticking of the white rabbit’s pocket watch? Better run! You wouldn’t want to be late for this experience.
