Elephant Ears Kids Shop in Ann Arbor

Elephant Ears has now closed.

It’s not just those sugary carnival treats we all love so much. Elephant Ears also is the name of one of the coolest children’s clothing and furniture stores in Ann Arbor!

This mom-and-pop store, owned by Matt and Jenna Cyrulnik and nestled in the Kerrytown boutique district, is known for its wide selection of cheery clothes, strollers, cribs, car seats and other kids’ stuff galore. Whether it’s diaper bags or play sets and plushies, you’re sure to find something to delight the tyke in your life.

The downstairs level of the store houses clothing for children from infant sizes to size 16. You’ll also find sandals, rain boots, socks, hats and bathing suits. “The emphasis is casual and comfortable,” says Matt. The colors are bright with fun patterns on almost every outfit, for boys and girls.

The upstairs area features furniture for babies, tweens and every age in between. There are cribs, mattresses, carriers, car seats, high chairs, strollers and more. In fact, you might say this place is stroller-savvy: Elephant Ears has over 100 strollers available to buy! The staff knows the ins and outs and can help find the right one for each family. The shop even allows customers to take the stroller out for a walk through Kerrytown before purchasing to make sure it’s the right fit.

Items bought at Elephant Ears can be shipped anywhere in the United States – free of charge. It also accepts coupons from any store for any product.

“Even though we are a boutique, we match or beat any prices on any products – whether they are in the market or online,” Matt adds.

Free gift-wrap is available with any purchase, too, and a gift registry includes free shipping and gift-wrap.

The Cyrulniks started Elephant Ears in 2006 to create a personalized shopping experience for cool kids’ items. “The name is based on the innocence of children and how they listen with their big ears,” says Matt.
