Places to Get Drinks To-Go

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has given the go-ahead for carry-out drinks. Here are some local bars, restaurants and breweries offering adult drinks to go.

2020 has been the pits — and I don’t know about you, but I could really use a stiff drink from my favorite watering hole.

While bars and restaurants were open for a while, a surge in coronavirus cases and the three-week pause shut them down for indoor dining again. As a compromise to these closures, Gov. Whitmer is allowing bars, restaurants and breweries across the state to offer carry-out adult beverages.

And that’s perfect for local parents who don’t feel comfortable going out during the COVID-19 pandemic or who don’t want to dine outdoors in the wintertime, so here are some spots in metro Detroit and Ann Arbor where you can score a drink to take home.
