Donald F. Kosch Village Playground at Greenfield Village

This cool playground is located at Greenfield Village and is great for ages 12 and under. It offers fun for children of all abilities and includes sculptural swings for kids of all abilities. The playground is designed to look like a 1930s construction site and has a mix of new play features and historical artifacts that have been transformed into play features. There’s a water tower made for climbing with a slide, a construction pipe tunnel, a rock climbing wall, water and sand areas, an old Model T you can climb into and on top of, interactive steam shovel and more.

Ford Woods Park

For families, this playground is a fantastic location. Families can discover a range of interesting things to do, such as picnics by the pond, and leisurely hikes along the trails, after a day of playing at the playground. Additionally, the park has bocce ball, pickleball, and tennis facilities. For history enthusiasts, it’s worth noting that the park shares ties with the automotive industry, as it’s conveniently located near the former estate of Clara and Henry Ford.

Families may take advantage of the park’s seasonal kayak and canoe rentals, spacious picnic areas, several hiking trails while visiting. The park also has incredible views of the Rouge River, which add to its beauty.

Additionally, the park has a thrilling sled hill, a baseball field, and a seasonal spray park, making sure there is something for everyone to enjoy all season long.

The park itself, which spans more than 35 acres in Dearborn, is an excellent spot to help the kids get some energy out. The playscape is open to families with small children, ensuring a fun-filled day for everyone. With its seasonal pool, outdoor ice skating rink, and inline skating rink, this park also offers pleasure and enjoyment throughout the whole year.
