Baobab Fare

This restaurant celebrates East African food and culture with their signature dish, Nyumbani, a slow-simmered beef dish with coconut rice, fried plantains and peanut-stewed spinach.

BT’s Bakery 

Find cupcakes, pound cakes, cookies, tortes and more sweet treats. 

Coop Caribbean Fusion

This Caribbean restaurant and food hall in Detroit serves chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, Jamaican food, Caribbean food and more.


Country fried pork chops, Louisiana style gumbo, catfish and burritos are on the menu at this spot — along with beans and cornbread, of course. 

Delphine Jamaican Restaurant

This spot opened as the first option for Detroit vegan food. It features a menu of 100% plant-based and organic dishes including BBQ tofu ribz and coconut BLT pita.

Dilla’s Delights 

The shop inspired by the late Detroit hip-hop artist, J. Dilla, is run by his Uncle Herm and offers sweet doughnuts of all different flavors and styles. 

Dime Store

This brunch restaurant is located inside the Penobscot Building. It features scratch-made breakfast, brunch and lunch, which is served all-day long. It offers unique food options like cheesesteak benny, duck bop hash, bacon, parm & truffle fries and spicy Korean fries.

DUO restaurant & Lounge

The Duo Chophouse burger is a half-pound of beef topped in mozzarella, mushrooms and Zip sauce. Not feeling a burger? Find buffalo chicken, blackened salmon, beer-battered cod and more.
